A Weekend In Goa: The Perfect Itinerary

A long weekend is enough to get a real taste of Goa if you split it between North and South. Base yourself in North Goa for the first half — Baga and Calangute for beach shacks and water sports, with a sunset stop at Chapora Fort. Spend the second half in South Goa, where Palolem and Colva offer quieter, cleaner beaches away from the crowds. Squeeze in a walk through Fontainhas in Panjim for its Portuguese-era houses, and end with a sunset river cruise on the Mandovi. Renting a scooter is the easiest way to get around, but book accommodation in advance during the November-February peak season.
